FAQ

Check Out Our FAQ Section for Quick Answers to Common CDL License Course Questions

  • Do I need my CLP (Commercial Learners Permit) to attend the class?

Yes, you do, and we can walk you through the process of obtaining the permit. Please get in touch with us to get set up and going!

  • How old do I have to be to get a CDL?

The minimum age to get a CDL is 18, but you will be limited to in-state operations (Intrastate) until you turn 21, where you will be allowed to cross state lines (Interstate).

  • If I have had a DUI or DWI in the past, can I still get my CDL?

Yes, you can, as long as there are no restrictions on your valid Texas driver's license.

  • How long will it take me to get my CDL?

That will depend on qualifications. If you have had your CDL or medical card before and had it lapse, you can renew your CDL in as little as one day! If you are getting your CDL for the first time, the minimum is three weeks or until we deem you safe on the road.

  • What do I need in order to get my CDL?

To get your CDL, you will need a valid Texas driver's license, certified copy or original birth certificate, social security card, two forms of residency in Texas, a medical DOT card, and a valid CLP (Commercial Learners Permit). We can assist in getting these documents transferred to Texas if you need help.

  • What is the Cancellation Policy?

Our training facility has limited seating, and many classes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least two days before your scheduled class. This will allow us to offer your spot to another student. You may call us at 972-520-3468 between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday to cancel. Please note we do not offer refunds. However, if you give us at least 72 hours' notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another class.

Do you still have questions about our services? Give us a call at 972-520-3468 and speak with one of our expert staff members.
